Update: Antispam Bee 2.5.7
This post originally appeared in Sergej Müller’s Google+ profile (in German) and is no longer accessible there. It’s now kept here by the Pluginkollektiv.
The announced update brings some enhancements to the plugin, which were developed from user feedback. In detail:
- with the help of the filter antispam_bee_notification_subject the subject of the notification mails can be defined according to your wishes.
- much more exciting implementation concerns the log file, which Antispam Bee fills with detected spam entries on request. This history of new spam entries was primarily introduced for use in Fail2Ban – thanks to the log file Fail2Ban blocks every spam “commentator” on the server side, relieves the server and reduces the spam volume to a minimum (in my case up to 90%).
The online manual was extended accordingly.
The update is now available for free in your WordPress administration areas.
